Every December, the city of Lens sets up its Christmas Village on the parvis of the Town Hall, in the heart of the city center. For three weeks, this festive space offers the people of Lens and visitors an enchanted interlude in the middle of winter, with about twenty chalets offering local crafts, original creations, and seasonal gourmet specialties.

Location
The Christmas Village of Lens is set up on the parvis of the Town Hall, Place Jean Jaurès, 62300 Lens. This central space in the city, located in the heart of the shopping district, hosts about twenty chalets, the fir tree carousel, the ice rink, and festive activities. The proximity to the shops in the city center allows for combining shopping with a visit to the Christmas market.
Access
- By car: From Lille (40 min), A1 then A21 exit Lens. From Paris (2h), A1 towards Lens. From Arras (20 min), A26 then A21. Parking in the city center: Bollaert parking (5 min walk), train station parking, underground parking of the shopping center. On-street parking in the city center is limited during the Christmas period.
- By train: Lens station, served by the TGV (Paris-Lens in 1h10) and the TER (Lille-Lens in 30 min, Arras-Lens in 15 min). From the station, a 5-minute walk to Place Jean Jaurès by following Rue de la Gare.
- By bus: Tadao network, central hub of Lens at Place Jean Jaurès. Numerous lines from the municipalities of the Lens-Liévin-Hénin-Carvin agglomeration.
Dates and times
Christmas Village Chalets: from December 5th to 24th. Times vary depending on the day, generally from 10 am to 7 pm on weekdays, with extended opening on weekends.
Ice rink: open from early December to December 31st. Sessions during the day and in the evening.
Bungy ejector: free, installed from December 20th to 31st.
