The Saint-Omer Christmas Market unfolds on Place du Maréchal Foch and Place Victor Hugo, in the heart of Saint-Omer's historic center (62500). These squares, surrounded by beautiful Flemish facades and heritage buildings, offer an authentic setting for Christmas festivities. The Notre-Dame Cathedral, 18th-century private mansions, and the pedestrian shopping streets create a warm atmosphere conducive to winter strolls.

- By car: From Calais (30 min), A26 exit 3 then follow signs for Saint-Omer center. From Lille (1h), A26 exit 3. From Boulogne-sur-Mer (40 min), A26 or N42 towards Saint-Omer. From Dunkirk (40 min), A26 exit 2. Free parking in the city center: train station parking (large capacity), esplanade parking, public garden parking. The city center is easily accessible on foot from all parking lots.
- By train: Saint-Omer station, served by TER Hauts-de-France lines (Lille-Calais via Hazebrouck, Saint-Omer-Boulogne). From the station, a 10-minute walk to the city center and the Christmas market squares.
- By bus: Arc-en-Ciel network, several lines serve the center of Saint-Omer from the towns of the Pays de Saint-Omer.
Dates and Program
Christmas festivities run from late November to December 31st. The kick-off is marked by the grand Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Place Victor Hugo, in the presence of Santa Claus, mascots, and musical parades. The chalets, carousels, and activities are then open daily throughout the holiday period.
