The 38th Toulouse Encounters of the Cinélatino festival, a major event for Latin American cinema in France, will be held from March 20 to 29, 2026 in Toulouse, as well as throughout March in several cities in Occitanie. Organized by the ARCALT association (Rencontres Cinéma Amérique Latine de Toulouse), the festival offers a program of approximately 90 films: fiction, documentary and short film competitions, discoveries, re-releases, classics, young audience screenings and special screenings.
The 2026 edition highlights Mexican cinema, with a transgenerational focus around producer Bertha Navarro and young filmmakers from Colectivo Colmena. Expected guests include Argentine filmmaker Lucrecia Martel. The Barrio Cinélatino, the festival village located in the courtyard of ENSAV-CROUS, welcomes the public for ten days for meetings, workshops, tapas aperitifs, a bookstore, and concerts.
Screenings take place in numerous Toulouse venues: Pathé Wilson, cinema ABC, American Cosmograph, Le Cratère, Utopia Borderouge, VÉO Cartoucherie, ENSAV, as well as in several media libraries and at the Instituto Cervantes.
