The Théâtre de La Closerie is one of the most remarkable examples of cultural vitality in rural France, in Burgundy. Located at 17, Route de Clamecy in Étais-la-Sauvin, it hosts artists, actors, musicians, and visual artists every season in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
La Closerie's programming covers a very wide spectrum: theatre, world music, songs, tributes, dance, and visual arts. CVO is part of this spirit of openness and artistic experimentation that has made the venue famous since its creation.
Closerie Vidéo Ouverte demonstrates La Closerie's conviction that contemporary art, and particularly video art in all its forms, must be accessible to everyone, even in rural areas furthest from major cities. Residents of Puisaye-Forterre, Auxerrois, and all of the Yonne region can thus access avant-garde artistic offerings in their local area.
The 19th artistic season of La Closerie continues to navigate the seas of creation, offering its ten stops, of which CVO is one of the most unique.
Closerie Vidéo Ouverte 2026 continues its evenings of video art and contemporary creation at the Théâtre de La Closerie in Étais-la-Sauvin.
