The electro festival in the heart of the Château de La Ferté-Saint-Aubin
Born in 2017 from the chance meeting of three friends — Agathe, Nils, and Lancelot —, the Cocorico Electro festival has become in just a few editions one of the most unique electro events in France. Their ambition: to create a benchmark musical event just a stone's throw from Orléans, an eco-responsible event showcasing the Sologne region and French artists. From the very first edition, organized for Bastille Day, some 12,000 festival-goers answered the call, with artists like Ofenbach and Lumberjack on stage.
The festival unfolds in the park of the Château de La Ferté-Saint-Aubin, a majestic 17th-century building nestled in the heart of Sologne. This unique heritage setting gives the event an incomparable atmosphere: the bass of electronic music resonates against the classical facades, while pyrotechnic shows light up the sky above the moats. Two outdoor stages host about thirty DJs, in a configuration that blends intimacy and grandeur.
True to its DNA, Cocorico Electro offers an exclusively French lineup, from house to techno, mixing headliners and emerging talents. Over the years, the festival has hosted major artists: Martin Solveig, Ofenbach, Kungs, Polo & Pan, Bob Sinclar, Petit Biscuit, Joachim Garraud, Lost Frequencies, Vitalic, Pedro Winter (Busy P), Agoria, NTO, Irène Drésel, Bon Entendeur, and Vladimir Cauchemar. The partnership with DJ CAST also highlights emerging DJs from Orléans.
Beyond the music, Cocorico Electro stands out for its eco-responsible commitment: 97% local service providers, vegetarian menu based on local products, cashless payment only. The festival also offers a "Secret Garden / Wellness" area with yoga, hairdressing, and makeup. Since 2025, the L2 sound system by L-Acoustics, presented as the most efficient in the world, guarantees exceptional sound quality. Shuttles from Orléans and discounts on regional trains facilitate access, while the municipal campsite at Cosson, 250 meters from the castle, welcomes festival-goers wishing to extend the experience.
From 12,000 participants in 2017 to over 21,000 expected in 2026, Cocorico Electro confirms year after year its place among the essential electro festivals in France. Its unique identity — "celebrating in French style" in a listed castle — makes it an unparalleled event in the French festival landscape.
