Courants d'Art: A Live Performance Festival in Moselle
The Courants d'Art Festival takes over the esplanade of Cattenom each year for a weekend of open-air artistic discoveries. Organized by the Community of Municipalities of Cattenom and Surroundings, this free festival celebrates street arts and live performance in all their forms.
An Eclectic and Surprising Program
The festival stands out for the diversity of its program, which mixes:
- World Music: brass bands, Balkan music, Breton melodies, and African influences
- Street Theater: performances incorporating puppets, stilts, pyrotechnics, and special effects
- Dance: performances blending hip-hop, contemporary dance, and multicultural influences
- Circus Arts: acrobatics, juggling, and aerial arts
Artists from France and Beyond
Courants d'Art invites companies and artists with diverse and original universes. Past editions have notably hosted:
- La Fanfare Couche Tard: Eastern European and Balkan music
- Les Tambours de la Muerte: a show combining theater, puppets, music, stilts, and pyrotechnics
- Red Line Crossers: a street performance fusing Breton melodies, hip-hop, and Caribbean influences

Access
By Car
Cattenom is located about 20 km north of Thionville and 50 km north of Metz, in the Moselle valley. Access via the D654 from Thionville towards Sierck-les-Bains. Free parking near the esplanade. From Luxembourg, allow about 30 minutes via the Mondorf-les-Bains border crossing.
By Public Transport
SMITU bus network from Thionville: regular line serving Cattenom. Nearest SNCF train station: Thionville, served by TGV from Paris (2h20) and TER from Metz (20 min) and Luxembourg (25 min). From Thionville station, take a bus connection to Cattenom.
Venue
Esplanade de Cattenom, 57570 Cattenom. The esplanade is a large open-air space in the heart of the town, ideal for street performances and cultural gatherings.
Schedule
Performances take place on Saturday evening (from 8 PM) and Sunday afternoon and evening. The detailed program with precise times for each show is communicated before each edition on the Cattenom Loisirs Culture website and on the municipality's social media.

Free admission for all performances. No reservation required.
Food & Drink
Refreshments and food stalls on site during the festival. Restaurants and shops in Cattenom and the surrounding area are also accessible near the esplanade.
Accessibility
The esplanade is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Performances take place outdoors on flat, developed ground.

- Weather: performances are held outdoors in June, bring appropriate clothing and possibly a raincoat in case of showers
