Festival of Latin American, Caribbean, and African music in Toulouse, every winter
Cuba Hoy !… Terres de Rencontres is a music festival organized every winter in Toulouse, offering an immersion into the vibrant world of Latin American, Caribbean, and African music. Concerts (salsa, rumba, cumbia, percussion…), Caribbean dances, shows, screenings, participatory workshops, and meetings take place in several venues across the city.
Since 1998, the Cuba Hoy !… Terres de Rencontres festival has been igniting the city of Toulouse at the turn of winter, generally from late January to early February. Organized by the Toulouse-based association Yemayá, it celebrates the music and cultures of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa.
The program combines concerts (salsa, rumba, cumbia, percussion…), popular and Caribbean dances, shows, film screenings, participatory workshops, and meetings. The festival takes place in several venues in Toulouse, including the Centre culturel des Mazades, the Pavillon République, the Espace Job, the MJC des Ponts Jumeaux, the Centre culturel du Pont des Demoiselles, and the Église des 7 Deniers.
Committed for over thirty years to promoting access to culture for all, the Yemayá association conceives the festival as a highlight for fieldwork, creation, mediation, and encounters. The 29th edition was held from January 30 to February 8, 2026.

Organized by the Toulouse association Yemayá, the 2026 edition continued a festival that has enlivened Toulouse in the heart of winter since 1998.
