Progressive metal festival in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne
The Ready For Prog? Festival is the French event dedicated to progressive metal, organized in Toulouse by the association Cultur'Prom. After a first edition in 2019 under the name "Very Prog Festival", the festival has established itself as the only French event entirely devoted to the international and national prog metal scene, while maintaining the friendly atmosphere of a human-sized festival.
The Ready For Prog? Festival is a unique event in France entirely dedicated to progressive metal. Organized in Toulouse by the association Cultur'Prom, it brings together renowned international acts and French prog scene bands every autumn, in a warm, human-sized festival atmosphere.
Over the editions, the festival has hosted major global prog-metal headliners (Angra, Threshold, Disillusion, Witherfall, DGM, Textures…) while also providing a showcase for French bands of the genre (Esthesis, Spheres, Amon-Sethis…). The lineup alternates between technical progressive metal, symphonic prog rock, and tech-death, across two thematic evenings.
Launched in 2019 by the Cultur'Prom association under the name "Very Prog Festival", the event was renamed "Ready For Prog? Festival" from its second edition. The first editions were held at Metronum, Toulouse's contemporary music venue. After a 5th edition at Metronum on November 1st and 2nd, 2024 (Angra, Threshold, Disillusion, Witherfall, Esthesis, Spheres) and a blank year in 2025, the festival will resume in 2026 for its 6th edition in a new setting: Le Rex de Toulouse.
The Ready For Prog? Festival advocates a friendly approach: a single venue, two evenings, a passionate audience. Advance tickets on Festik allow support for a 100% volunteer organizing team and a demanding musical genre that has few stages in France.
The Ready For Prog? Festival returns for its 6th edition on October 16 and 17, 2026 at Le Rex de Toulouse, after a blank year in 2025. Two prog-metal evenings with DGM, Textures, Temic, Philosophobia, Amon-Sethis and Mother Of Millions.
The 6th edition of the Ready For Prog? Festival will take place on Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Le Rex de Toulouse. After a break in 2025 (a "blank year" announced by the organizers due to difficulties), the Cultur'Prom association marks the return of the only French festival dedicated to progressive metal in a new venue, after several editions at Le Metronum.
Six bands spread over two thematic evenings, mixing international prog-metal acts (Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Greece, United States) and French bands. The evening of Friday, October 16 will be opened by Amon-Sethis (France) and Philosophobia (Germany), with DGM (Italy) headlining. Saturday, October 17 will feature Mother Of Millions (Greece), Temic (an international project bringing together members of Devin Townsend, The Neal Morse Band and Shining) and Textures (Netherlands) as headliner.
For this comeback edition, the festival is moving from Le Metronum to Le Rex de Toulouse. Doors open each evening at 6:00 PM.
