The naturalistic photography festival in Val-de-Meurthe
Déclic Nature is a naturalistic photography festival held annually at the end of May in Blainville-sur-l'Eau, Meurthe-et-Moselle. Created in 2012, this festival brings together renowned photographers, exhibitions of wildlife and landscape photography, naturalistic conferences, creative workshops, a photo contest, and activities for young audiences for three days. Supported by the Communauté de Communes Mad et Moselle (CC3M), Déclic Nature has become a must-attend event for nature and photography lovers.
Since 2012, the Déclic Nature festival has brought together enthusiasts of naturalistic photography and the environment every year in Blainville-sur-l'Eau. Supported by the Communauté de Communes Mad et Moselle (CC3M), this festival highlights the beauty of nature through the eyes of talented photographers, from beginners to recognized professionals.
Over three days, Déclic Nature offers a comprehensive program centered around photography and nature:
The festival offers numerous practical workshops:
The Val-de-Meurthe, a territory of the CC3M, offers a rich and preserved natural setting with its valleys, forests, wetlands, and agricultural areas. The Déclic Nature festival contributes to environmental awareness and the promotion of local natural heritage. It participates in the cultural and tourist dynamics of the territory by attracting a regional and national audience.
Edition after edition, Déclic Nature has established itself as a reference event for naturalistic photography in the Grand Est region. The quality of the exhibitors, the diversity of the program, and the commitment of the volunteers make this festival an event appreciated by both experienced photographers and families and nature enthusiasts.
7th edition of the Déclic Nature festival. Guest of honor: Stéphane Granzotto, photographer and filmmaker passionate about the underwater world.
Blainville-sur-l'Eau is located 30 km southeast of Nancy, in the Meurthe valley, in the heart of the Communauté de Communes Mad et Moselle territory.
The festival takes place in a dedicated space in Blainville-sur-l'Eau, with exhibition halls for photographs, conference rooms, and outdoor activity areas. The layout allows for easy movement between different spaces and enjoyment of both indoor exhibitions and outdoor activities.
The festival is held on a weekend at the end of May, from Friday to Sunday. Exhibitions are accessible continuously during opening hours. Conferences and workshops are scheduled at fixed times, according to a program published in advance.
Access to the photo exhibitions is free. Some specialized workshops or guided nature outings may be subject to a fee or require prior registration. Consult the detailed program on the festival's website.
The festival organizes a naturalistic photography contest open to all photographers, amateurs and professionals. Registration is open from January to February on the official festival website. The contest themes are announced at the end of the previous year. The winning photographs are exhibited during the festival, and the winners receive prizes at the awards ceremony.
The festival offers many activities suitable for young audiences: creative workshops around nature, observation games, land art activities, and photography introductions for children. It is an ideal opportunity to raise awareness among the youngest about the beauty and fragility of nature.
Food and drink stands are available on site throughout the festival. You can also bring your own picnic and enjoy the surrounding green spaces.
Don't forget your camera! The exhibitions and meetings with guest photographers are a valuable source of inspiration. Technical workshops (macro, wildlife photography, post-processing) are offered for all levels.
