Electronic music in nature in Saint-Fargeau
The Electro Green Festival is a unique event in the heart of Puisaye-Forterre, combining electronic music and love for nature. Every summer in Saint-Fargeau, three days of house, afro-house, and melodic techno take place at La Grange, an emblematic site in the village. Born from a handful of passionate friends from Orléans, this eco-responsible festival cultivates a festive and friendly atmosphere, at the crossroads of the electro scene and environmental commitment.
The Electro Green Festival was born from a simple and beautiful idea: to bring electronic music back to where it resonates best, in the heart of nature. Founded in 2023 under the 1901 law, the Electro Green Festival association brings together three friends from Orléans, driven by a deep love for music and the conviction that cultural events can be experienced differently, with responsibility and conviviality. It is in the hometown of Erwan, one of the founders, in Saint-Fargeau in the Yonne, that the adventure takes root.
The first edition, organized in a DIY manner in a field with a handful of volunteers, friends, and family, laid the foundations for a festival that would quickly find its audience. Over the editions, the event moved to La Grange, an emblematic village site located on Allée de Vauvert, which offers an authentic and green setting, ideal for creating a timeless musical bubble.
Nestled in the heart of Puisaye-Forterre, a Burgundian region renowned for its preserved landscapes, its ponds, and its forests, the La Grange site has become the festival's visual identity. Two outdoor stages face each other, allowing for continuous programming without downtime. Between sets, shaded chill-out areas and food stalls invite rest and discovery of local flavors.
The natural setting is not just a backdrop: it is at the core of the festival's DNA. The eco-responsible approach translates into particular attention to waste management, the choice of local service providers, and limiting the event's carbon footprint. The very name of the festival, Electro Green, summarizes this philosophy: making the night vibrate while respecting the earth that hosts us.
Over its editions, the Electro Green Festival has built a strong artistic line, mixing complementary styles: house, afro-house, melodic techno, and current sounds. The programming is both ambitious and accessible, capable of attracting renowned headliners while offering a showcase for emerging artists from the French scene.
The 5th edition in 2025 perfectly illustrates this ambition with a carefully constructed lineup over three days: AMOR and SASHKA open the ball on Friday evening in a feverish atmosphere, Robin Tordjman and Rawdolff bring Saturday to its peak, before a festive and offbeat Sunday concludes the weekend with the unprecedented concept KITCH ME I'M FAMOUS — a dive into the Ibiza 2000s universe, with costumes required and impactful sounds.
From the improvised zero edition in a field to the fifth edition with national-level artists, the Electro Green Festival has come a long way in a very short time. This success relies on a loyal community, committed volunteers, and a constantly reinventing program.
For the 2026 edition, on June 12th and 13th, the festival continues its growth with two nights of programming, still at La Grange in Saint-Fargeau. Shuttles from Auxerre facilitate access to the site, and camping packages allow for the full experience without transport constraints. Ticketing is exclusively online via Shotgun, with day tickets or 2-day passes.
Beyond the festival, Saint-Fargeau is a destination in its own right. Its Renaissance castle — one of the largest in Burgundy — hosts a famous sound and light show every summer that retraces five centuries of history. The ponds of Puisaye-Forterre, the ancient forests, and the gentle Burgundian way of life make this region an ideal setting for a festival that celebrates music as much as nature.
6th edition of the Electro Green Festival in Saint-Fargeau, two nights of outdoor electronic music at La Grange on June 12th and 13th, 2026. House, afro-house, and melodic techno on the program, with shuttles from Auxerre and camping packages. Limited spots, ticketing on Shotgun.
