Emmitou'Flers: Christmas magic in the heart of the Norman bocage
Since 2022, Emmitou'Flers has become the unmissable event for the end-of-year festivities in Flers and the Orne bocage. Organized by Flers Agglo, this festival unfolds for over a month – from late November to early January – with a rich program of shows, activities, and festivities that illuminate the town and warm hearts.
Spectacular activities
The luminous parade
The highlight of Emmitou'Flers is the luminous parade "L'Envol", a magical procession presented by the Compagnie Remue-Ménage. This procession of luminous creatures travels through the streets of Flers in a magical atmosphere, enchanting the thousands of spectators gathered along the route.
The Christmas circus
The Cirque-théâtre Tempo sets up its big top at the Flers bowling green to present a Christmas circus show with about ten international artists. Juggling, acrobatics, clowning, and poetry blend together to offer a quality family show for about ten days.
Video mapping
A video mapping show, "Flers, l'odyssée en lumière", projects luminous and sound animations onto the facades of emblematic buildings in the town, creating an immersive and free show in the heart of Flers.
The Christmas market
The Emmitou'Flers Christmas market brings together around 70 exhibitors over a weekend, offering seasonal crafts, gifts, decorations, and delicacies. This festive market is an opportunity to find original gift ideas while supporting local artisans and producers.
Activities for everyone
Emmitou'Flers offers a variety of events: luminous tractor parade, creative workshops, meeting Santa Claus, musical shows, and street entertainment. Most of the activities are free, with the exception of the Christmas circus, ensuring access to the festivities for everyone.

Practical information — Emmitou'Flers
Access and transport
By car: Flers is accessible via the D924 from Caen (approx. 1 hour) or the D962 from Alençon (approx. 1 hour). From Domfront, take the D962 (approx. 30 minutes). Free parking is available in the town center near the various activity venues.
By train: Flers station is served by the Caen-Laval and Caen-Granville lines. The town center where the activities take place is a few minutes' walk from the station.
Activity locations
The Emmitou'Flers activities are spread throughout the center of Flers and in various locations in the commune. The luminous parade runs through the main streets. The video mapping is projected onto an emblematic facade of the town. The Christmas market is set up on a town center square. The Christmas circus takes place under a big top at the Flers bowling green.

The vast majority of activities are free: luminous parade, video mapping, illuminations, Christmas market, luminous tractor parade, street entertainment, and creative workshops. The Christmas circus is the only paid event (prices available on the Flers Agglo website, online booking recommended as performances fill up quickly).
