Gastronomic festival of the Coquille Saint-Jacques in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc
The Coquille Saint-Jacques is the flagship product and emblem of the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, fished between October and April by a fleet of scallop boats using sustainable and controlled fishing techniques. The Coquille Saint-Jacques Festival celebrates this gastronomic treasure every year, highlighting the expertise of fishermen and local artisans.
The festival is held every three years in alternation in one of the three scallop fishing ports of the Côtes-d'Armor: Erquy, Saint-Quay-Portrieux, and Paimpol. In 2026, the port of Erquy will host the event, offering an exceptional maritime setting with its pink sandstone cliffs and lively fishing port.
For two days, the port of Erquy transforms into a huge festival space, with tastings of Coquille Saint-Jacques prepared by local chefs, a market of producers and artisans, maritime events, fishing demonstrations, concerts, and activities for families. The event attracts over 50,000 visitors at each edition.
The Coquille Saint-Jacques Festival is a free and open-to-all event, celebrating gastronomy, maritime heritage, and togetherness in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc.
The Coquille Saint-Jacques Festival returns to the port of Erquy on April 25th and 26th, 2026. Tastings of scallops cooked by local chefs, a market of producers and artisans, maritime events, concerts, and family activities for a festive and gourmet weekend.
Location: Port of Erquy, 22430 Erquy (2026 edition).
Free. Free entry. Tastings are paid on site.
