About Erquy Fun Cup
The Erquy Fun Cup is a friendly regatta organized every autumn by the Centre Nautique d'Erquy, in the bay of Saint-Brieuc. Formerly known as WARP LD, the event was renamed Erquy Fun Cup in 2023. As part of the French long-distance championship, this two-day competition brings together windsurf, windfoil, wingfoil, and kite practitioners on a mega-slalom course. The festive atmosphere and the exceptional setting of the bay of Erquy make it a popular event for board sports enthusiasts.

From WARP LD to Erquy Fun Cup
The Erquy Fun Cup was born in 2023 from the transformation of WARP LD, an event created and run for 12 editions by Gwendal Richard. When the latter wished to pass on the torch, the Centre Nautique d'Erquy took over the organization and renamed the competition. From now on, all logistics — registrations, briefing, gathering, meals, and awards ceremony — are concentrated at the Maison de la Mer, on the Erquy marina.
A Multi-Support Regatta
The Erquy Fun Cup hosts four gliding disciplines:
- Windsurf: classic sailboarding
- Windfoil: sailboarding on a foil
- Wingfoil: wing-powered riding on a foil
- Kite: kitesurfing on a foil and directional board
The races take place in a mega-slalom format in the bay of Saint-Brieuc, offering varied sailing conditions depending on the winds and tides. The event is a stage of the French long-distance championship, attracting high-level competitors while remaining open to amateurs in a friendly spirit.
Friendliness and Breton Gastronomy
Beyond the competition, the Erquy Fun Cup is above all a moment of sharing. A catering service offers sausage galettes and crêpes throughout the weekend. Saturday evening is enlivened by a raffle and a friendly reception at the Nautical Center. Partnerships with local accommodations facilitate the welcome of participants from all over France.
