About Erquy Fun Cup
The Erquy Fun Cup is a two-day regatta featuring windsurfing, windfoiling, wingfoiling, and kitesurfing, hosted every autumn by the Centre Nautique d'Erquy in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc. Formerly known as the WARP LD until 2023, the event was rebranded when the Centre Nautique took over its organization. Previously held as a long-distance mega-slalom, it transitioned to a slalom format in 2026 and now serves as the final of the Brittany Slalom Championship.

The Erquy Fun Cup will take place on October 3rd and 4th, 2026, in the bay of Erquy, with the Centre Nautique d'Erquy serving as the base on land. The format is changing: long-distance racing is giving way to slalom, and the event will now serve as the final of the Brittany Slalom Championship for boards and wings. Four categories will compete: kitesurf, wingfoil, windsurf, and windfoil.
2026 Edition
The 2026 edition will take place on Saturday, October 3rd and Sunday, October 4th in the bay of Erquy. The Centre Nautique d'Erquy has announced a change in format: "This year, the Erquy Fun Cup is shifting from long-distance to slalom for even greater accessibility, serving as the final of the Brittany Slalom Championship for windsurfing and wingfoiling." The official lineup features four disciplines: kitesurfing, wingfoiling, windsurfing, and windfoiling. The club welcomes both competitive athletes and "freeriders of all stripes," as well as curious spectators coming to watch the Breton riders in action.
What the FFVoile calendar says
The competition is listed on the federal calendar as the "Erquy Fun Cup - Brittany Championship Final." It includes three Grade 5A interregional events open to all participants without restriction: Slalom, Kitefoil Open Racing, and Wing. The event is held in the bay of Erquy, with access via the port of Erquy.
Notice of race and registration
As of late August 2026, the notice of race has not yet been posted online. The club has not published any updates regarding this edition since the thank-you note for the 2025 event (September 23, 2025), and the club's HelloAsso registration page does not yet mention the 2026 Erquy Fun Cup.

From WARP LD to Erquy Fun Cup
The Erquy Fun Cup was born in 2023 from the transformation of WARP LD, an event created and run for 12 editions by Gwendal Richard. When the latter wished to pass on the torch, the Centre Nautique d'Erquy took over the organization and renamed the competition. From now on, all logistics — registrations, briefing, gathering, meals, and awards ceremony — are concentrated at the Maison de la Mer, on the Erquy marina.
A Multi-Support Regatta
The Erquy Fun Cup hosts four gliding disciplines:
- Windsurf: classic sailboarding
- Windfoil: sailboarding on a foil
- Wingfoil: wing-powered riding on a foil
- Kite: kitesurfing on a foil and directional board
The races take place in a mega-slalom format in the bay of Saint-Brieuc, offering varied sailing conditions depending on the winds and tides. The event is a stage of the French long-distance championship, attracting high-level competitors while remaining open to amateurs in a friendly spirit.
Friendliness and Breton Gastronomy
Beyond the competition, the Erquy Fun Cup is above all a moment of sharing. A catering service offers sausage galettes and crêpes throughout the weekend. Saturday evening is enlivened by a raffle and a friendly reception at the Nautical Center. Partnerships with local accommodations facilitate the welcome of participants from all over France.
