Fête des Plantes de Cheverny: The Spring Horticultural Event in Loir-et-Cher

For over twenty years, the Fête des Plantes at Château de Cheverny has marked the arrival of spring in Loir-et-Cher. Organized by the Rotary Club Blois Sologne in partnership with the Société d'Horticulture du Loir-et-Cher, this horticultural event unfolds in the magnificent setting of the park of Cheverny Castle, one of the most famous Loire Valley châteaux.

Over 100 Excellent Exhibitors

Each year, the Fête des Plantes brings together over 100 carefully selected exhibitors: nursery owners, horticulturists, rose growers, rare plant producers, and garden artisans from all over France and several European countries. Trees, shrubs, bulbs, grasses, climbing plants, roses, perennials, and aromatic plants make up a remarkably rich and diverse offering.

A Paradise for Passionate Gardeners

Beyond plants, visitors discover unusual gardening products, garden decoration, outdoor furniture, crafts, and clothing inspired by nature. Workshops and demonstrations are offered throughout the weekend, allowing amateur and experienced gardeners alike to hone their knowledge and techniques.

An Exceptional Heritage Setting

Cheverny Castle, famous for inspiring Marlinspike Hall in the Adventures of Tintin, provides an incomparable backdrop for this event. The landscaped park, with its ancient trees and immaculate lawns, hosts the stands in a setting that is both majestic and bucolic. Le Bistrot allows visitors to eat on-site.

A Charitable Event

All profits from the Fête des Plantes are donated to humanitarian social causes supported by Rotary, focusing on disability and health. Over 100 volunteers mobilize each year to ensure the smooth running of the event, which now attracts over 11,000 visitors and significantly contributes to the funding of solidarity projects.
