Festi'Geek: The Celebration of Games and Geek Culture in Livron-sur-Drôme

Every September, the Place de la Madeleine in Livron-sur-Drôme transforms into a vast open-air playground. Festi'Geek, organized by the Louise Michel media library in partnership with the Games'n'Roles association, is a completely free day dedicated to discovering games in all their forms: role-playing games, board games, video games, and geek culture.

A Rich and Varied Program for All Ages

Festi'Geek offers a range of activities designed to satisfy all audiences, from the youngest to the most experienced:

• Role-playing games: introductory sessions led by passionate game masters, to discover this narrative and collaborative universe
• Board games: a wide selection of modern and classic games, with facilitators to explain the rules
• Card games: tournaments and introductions to the Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering collectible card games
• Video games: vintage arcade machines, retro consoles, virtual reality headsets, and friendly competitions
• Activities: face painting for children, sword fighting demonstrations, cosplay, and creative workshops

An Event Driven by a Passion for Gaming

The Games'n'Roles association, based in Livron-sur-Drôme, is the driving force behind this event. Composed of role-playing game, board game, and geek culture enthusiasts, it works throughout the year to promote gaming as a vector for social connection and creativity. The Louise Michel media library, a historic partner, provides its premises and resources to enrich the visitor experience.

A Free and Friendly Day

Festi'Geek is a 100% free event, open to all without registration. From 10 am to 7 pm, visitors can come and go freely between the different gaming areas, discover new gaming practices, and share moments of conviviality. The atmosphere is relaxed, family-friendly, and inclusive, in the spirit of geek culture that celebrates curiosity and sharing.
