The free rock festival in the heart of the Belledonne massif
The story of Festi'rock en Belledonne began in 2006, when a group of musicians from the Belledonne balcony decided to create a musical event worthy of their passion. The first edition took place on June 10, 2006, in the park of the town hall of Les Adrets, with the technical and logistical support of the municipality of Les Adrets and the 7 Laux resort. The founding idea was simple yet ambitious: to offer a free, open-air venue for musical encounters and discoveries in an exceptional natural setting.
Nestled in the park of the town hall of Les Adrets, at an altitude of 1,000 meters on the Belledonne balcony, the festival benefits from a spectacular natural environment. Concerts are held facing the peaks of the Belledonne massif, offering festival-goers a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding mountains. This unique setting, between fir forests and alpine meadows, just thirty minutes from Grenoble, gives Festi'rock an intimate and warm atmosphere found nowhere else.
True to its spirit of openness, Festi'rock refuses to be confined to a single musical genre. While rock remains the common thread, the program emphasizes diversity: metal, reggae, world music, brass band, dub, and gypsy music share the stage in the town hall park. The association Belledonne Musique works with professional sound and lighting technicians to ensure exemplary listening conditions, worthy of a much larger festival. Friday evening is traditionally dedicated to more reggae and world sounds, while Saturday builds up with a children's concert in the early afternoon, followed by rock and metal to close the festival in style.
Total freeness has been a fundamental commitment of Festi'rock since its inception. Access to all concerts is free and without reservation. This freeness is made possible by the hard work of a team of volunteers who work year-round, the support of local authorities, and the revenue from the refreshment stand offering local beers and drinks. On-site catering is provided by the association École en Fête, with all profits donated to the school of Les Adrets: savory crepes, diots and vegetarian crozets, sweet crepes, and hot dogs with local sausages delight festival-goers throughout the weekend.
In 2026, Festi'rock en Belledonne will celebrate its 20th anniversary, a testament to the vitality and longevity of this event, which has become a must-attend in the Isère festival scene. From a few hundred spectators at the first edition, the festival now attracts a loyal audience from all over the Grésivaudan region and beyond, united by a love for live music and the mountains. Festi'rock embodies a human-scale festival model, rooted in its territory, driven by values of sharing, accessibility, and artistic quality.

Festi'rock en Belledonne celebrates its twentieth anniversary in 2026! Since its creation in 2006 by a handful of passionate musicians from the Belledonne balcony, the festival has continued to grow to become a must-attend event on the Isère music scene. For this anniversary edition, on June 12 and 13, 2026, the Belledonne Musique association has put together a festive and eclectic program worthy of the event.
The opening night starts at 7:45 PM with Sinner G's, followed at 9:25 PM by Faut Qu'Ça Guinche, a wild band that promises to make the town hall park swing. At 11:10 PM, it's time for Borderline for an energetic rock set, before SMYU closes the first evening at 12:10 AM. Between stage changes, a 20th Anniversary Playlist ensures transitions, in homage to two decades of the festival.
Saturday opens at 5:00 PM with Les Zélectrons Frits, an electric rock family concert blending humor, energy, and catchy songs for all ages, offered in partnership with the École en Fête association. At 6:55 PM, Bysshe takes the stage with their powerful and atmospheric rock compositions. The band 105 de Groove takes over at 8:35 PM for a funk and groovy set that raises the temperature. The apotheosis of this 20th anniversary is entrusted to Le Psychedelik Orkestar Project at 10:20 PM, an explosive formation blending Balkan fanfare, rock, and Gypsy music, for a memorable finale. Red Retam provides inter-set entertainment throughout the day.
This anniversary edition is an opportunity to celebrate twenty years of music, volunteering, and conviviality at the foot of the Belledonne peaks, in a spirit of celebration and sharing that has never left the festival since its creation.
The festival takes place in the Parc de la Mairie des Adrets, 61 rue du Cardelet, 38190 Les Adrets, in the heart of the Belledonne massif in Isère. The stage is set up outdoors in the municipal park, facing the peaks.
Festi'rock is held annually on the second weekend of June, from Friday to Saturday.
The festival is completely free and open access. No reservation or ticket is necessary. Free access is maintained thanks to the work of volunteers and the revenue from the refreshment stand.
On Saturday at 5:00 PM, a free concert for children is offered by the association École en Fête. Noise-canceling headphones are strongly recommended to protect young ears during concerts.
