Festi'val d'Olt: Contemporary Music and Street Arts at the Foot of Mont Lozère

Nestled in the commune of Le Bleymard, at the foot of Mont Lozère and in the heart of the Haute Vallée du Lot, Festi'val d'Olt is an atypical festival that has been blending contemporary music and street arts since 2005. Driven by the association Rudeboy Crew, created in 2004 by young people from the region, this festival has become a must-attend event for lovers of musical discoveries and live performance in Lozère.

A Festival Born from the Territory

The Rudeboy Crew association was born from the desire of young inhabitants of the Haute Vallée du Lot to create an ambitious cultural event in their rural territory. Since its first edition, Festi'val d'Olt has grown while retaining its spirit of independence, conviviality, and openness. The festival is built around strong values: supporting artistic creation, discovering new forms, accessibility for the greatest number, and territorial anchoring.

Three Days of Artistic Discoveries

Every year at the end of May, Festi'val d'Olt offers three evenings of concerts under a big top and two days of street performances in the village of Le Bleymard. The musical programming, deliberately eclectic and curious, mixes rock, experimental music, electro, world music, hip-hop, and unclassifiable creations. The festival highlights emerging artists and unique projects, far from the beaten path of the music industry.

Street arts play an essential role in the festival's identity. Street theater, circus, and performance companies take over the streets, squares, and nooks of the village for itinerant shows, installations, and surprising interventions. The 2025 edition notably hosted Bruital Compagnie with “Dark”, Compagnie Thyase with “Pilule Rouge”, and La Hurlante with “Les Ailes”.

Unique and Demanding Artists

Festi'val d'Olt has earned a reputation for discovering talent and championing demanding music. Among the artists who have marked recent editions, we can mention Poil Ueda, an unclassifiable project blending Japanese tradition and noise rock, Baby Volcano, a trilingual electro-poetic performance, Matt Elliott, a British songwriter with dark and enchanting ballads, and Zombie Zombie, a cult French electronic duo.

Artist Residencies

Beyond the festival's main event, the Rudeboy Crew association develops a program of artist residencies in the region. These residencies allow companies and musicians to create in an inspiring environment, in contact with the locals and the Lozère landscape, and to present their works in progress during sharing sessions open to the public.

Conviviality and Festival Spirit

Festi'val d'Olt is also a time for conviviality and sharing. The festival campsite, the food areas offering local products, the encounters between artists and the public, and the warm atmosphere of the village of Le Bleymard all contribute to making each edition a unique moment. The festival is aimed at a family and curious audience, with street performances accessible to all during the day and reduced prices for young people and job seekers.

Festi'val d'Olt — edition 2026

The 22nd edition of Festi'val d'Olt is expected at the end of May 2026 in Le Bleymard. As every year, the festival will offer three evenings of concerts under a big top and two days of street performances in the village. Programming and ticketing information to come on the official website.
