Animasia is the major festival of Asian cultures and pop culture in Gironde. Animasia, the meeting point for Asian cultures
Animasia is the largest festival of Asian cultures and pop culture in the Bordeaux metropolitan area. Organized in Saint-Médard-en-Jalles, it offers an immersive weekend each year in the traditions and contemporary arts of Asia.
Traditional Animations and Pop Culture
The festival offers a rich program combining martial arts, cosplay demonstrations, K-pop shows, video games, manga, and original exhibitions. Visitors can discover both ancestral traditions and the most current trends in Asian culture.
Asian Gastronomy
Animasia gives pride of place to Asian gastronomy with about ten restaurants offering 100% Asian cuisine: Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese.
A Free and Family-Friendly Festival
Festival entry is free, making the event accessible to everyone. Families are welcome with activities suitable for younger children. Saturday evening features an exceptional K-pop show and outdoor night animations.
