Cadences, dance at the heart of the Bassin d'Arcachon

The Festival Cadences has become over the years an unmissable event for dance in France. Every September, the city of Arcachon transforms into the capital of dance with an ambitious program mixing contemporary dance, hip-hop, classical ballet, and choreographic creations from around the world.

International Companies

The festival hosts internationally renowned companies. In 2025, Malandain Ballet Biarritz presented 'La Chambre d'amour', and the São Paulo Dance Company was the major guest as part of the France-Brazil season. Choreographer Daniel Ramos also marked the edition with 'Identity'.

Iconic Venues

The shows take place in various and often unusual locations: the Théâtre Olympia, the Théâtre de la Mer, the streets, and the beach of Arcachon. The festival also extends to the towns of the Bassin: Lège-Cap Ferret, Audenge, Biganos, Gujan-Mestras, La Teste-de-Buch, and even Bordeaux.

Strong Territorial Roots

Cadences is both a source of national influence and deeply rooted in the territory, serving as a cultural vector for the entire Bassin d'Arcachon and Gironde.
