Photography Festival in the Indre Valley
Since 2019, the Festimage festival has offered a rendezvous with art photography every autumn in Veigné, in the heart of the Indre Valley. Driven by the Veigné Photo Club, an association founded in 2017, this festival brings together about fifteen artist photographers around a theme renewed each year, offering the public a diversity of perspectives, techniques, and photographic sensibilities.
Each edition of Festimage is built around a unifying theme that guides the selection of exhibited works. In 2025, the theme "View of the World" invited 14 artist photographers to share their vision of the world through original and committed photographic series. The festival hosts a guest of honor whose work is the subject of a special exhibition.
The 2025 edition honored the work of Stéphanie Poulain Vocoret with her series "Vertiges d'une folie humaine" (Dizziness of Human Madness), an ongoing photographic project exploring World War II through photography and the role of propaganda in conflicts. This work of remembrance illustrates the festival's mission: to use photography as a tool for knowledge, emotion, and reflection.
The exhibitions are presented at the Espace Cassiopée, Veigné's cultural venue offering professional hanging and lighting conditions. Visitors can explore the exhibitions over three days, discovering the works in an environment conducive to contemplation and exchange with the present artists.
The Veigné Photo Club, founded in 2017, is the beating heart of the festival. This club brings together photography enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to informed amateurs, through workshops, photo outings, technical training, and group exhibitions. The festival is the culmination of the association's year, allowing club members and invited photographers to share their work with a wider audience.
Festimage champions three fundamental values that guide its programming: to move the public with the power of images, to inform about the world and its issues through the eyes of photographers, and to communicate common cultural values. These three pillars make Festimage more than just an exhibition: a true space for dialogue and sharing around photography.
The 6th edition of Festimage will take place from October 2 to 4, 2026, at Espace Cassiopée in Veigné, in the Val de l'Indre. The photography festival of the Club Photo de Veigné brings together 14 artist photographers and honors the 2026 guest, Bernard Desveaux, a photographer from Touraine renowned for his wildlife and architectural images.
