Festival Cabrioles

A festival dedicated to children and families

Created in 2005 by the association Passe Muraille, the Festival Cabrioles is a flagship cultural event in Saint-Michel-de-Chabrillanoux, a small village in rural Ardèche. Every year in May, the festival welcomes families for an entire day of live performances for young audiences, from 10 am to 8 pm. Cabrioles' ambition is to allow as many children as possible to access quality performances through a single, accessible price.

A multidisciplinary program for the youngest

Cabrioles' program brings together professional companies every year offering theater, dance, clown, music, circus, and puppet shows. The performances are chosen for their ability to develop imagination, creativity, and sharing in children. Various formats — from intimate shows to large outdoor performances — allow us to reach all age groups, from toddlers to teenagers.

A bucolic and friendly setting

The festival takes place in a bucolic and green setting in the heart of Saint-Michel-de-Chabrillanoux, offering an ideal outdoor space for families. Catering areas and picnic areas allow for spending the entire day on site. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the festival, driven by a team of passionate volunteers, makes it a special moment of sharing between parents and children.

A completely volunteer organization

The association Passe Muraille, founded in 2005, is a non-profit organization (loi 1901) with no permanent employees. The organization of the festival relies entirely on a team of about ten volunteers composed of live performance professionals, teachers, and early childhood professionals. This volunteer commitment allows for maintaining a single and accessible price — €10 per person, free for children under 2 — true to the social and cultural mission of the festival.
