The contemporary music festival at the top of Haut-Doubs
Born in 2000 in Chaffois in the Doubs region, the Festival de la Paille settled in Métabief in 2008, at the foot of Mont Morond, at over 1,000 meters above sea level. Since then, it has continued to grow to become the largest contemporary music festival in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, attracting nearly 24,000 festival-goers each summer.
The Festival de la Paille offers a rich and varied program, mixing national and international headliners, discoveries, and regional talents:
Over the years, the festival has hosted artists such as MC Solaar, Matmatah, Naâman, Pierre de Maere, Polo & Pan, Deluxe, Les Ogres de Barback, La Rue Kétanou, Saïan Supa Crew, and many others.
The festival takes place in an exceptional natural setting, at the foot of the Métabief ski slopes, with a breathtaking view of the Jura mountain range. The site features two stages, local food areas, lively bars, and on-site camping to extend the festival experience.
The Festival de la Paille is committed to an eco-responsible approach: selective sorting, reusable cups, promotion of short supply chains for catering, partnerships with local producers, and raising public awareness of environmental issues.
After 25 years of emotions and music at the summit, the Festival de la Paille will hold its last edition on July 24 and 25, 2026, in Métabief. A legendary edition before the big transformation, true to the festival's spirit: friendly, responsible, and rooted in the territory.

After 25 years, this last edition brings together 18 artistic acts on two stages, notably featuring Youssoupha, Kyo, Skip The Use, Boulevard des Airs, L'Entourloop, and Biga*Ranx. A festive farewell weekend blending rock, reggae, rap, French song, and electro in the natural setting of Haut-Doubs.
After 25 years of music at its peak, the Festival de la Paille is holding its last edition on July 24 and 25, 2026 in Métabief, at the foot of Mont Morond. The Collectif Organisation announced the festival's discontinuation due to rising production costs and declining revenues, while also hinting at a "renaissance" in another form in the future.
For this farewell edition, 18 artistic acts will share two complementary stages, blending national headliners, discoveries, and regional talents: rock, reggae, rap, French song, and electro. As every year, the site offers local food stalls, lively bars, on-site camping, and breathtaking views of the Jura mountain range.
