Concerts and live performances in the heart of the medieval village of Nonette
Created in 2009 by the association "Là-Haut si j'y suis", composed of residents of Nonette and surrounding villages, the Festival de Nonette - Scènes de Vie was born from the desire to make culture accessible in rural areas. Each year, on the last weekend of August, this small village of character in the Pays d'Issoire transforms into a place of celebration and musical sharing.
The festival offers a varied program mixing French chanson, folk-rock, festive music, and world music. Recognized artists and emerging talents share the stage in an atmosphere of proximity and conviviality that is the hallmark of the festival. Over the years, the Festival de Nonette has hosted bands like La Rue Ketanou, La Cafetera Roja, Les Ogres de Barback, and many other French-speaking acts.
The concerts take place outdoors in the Place de l'Église in Nonette, at the foot of the medieval castle, offering an exceptional natural and heritage setting. The Parc des Horts also hosts activities, street performances, and participatory workshops throughout the weekend.
The association "Là-Haut si j'y suis" upholds strong values of mutual aid, sharing, and generosity. The festival is the result of the work of dozens of volunteers who invest themselves throughout the year to offer a quality event. The spirit of the festival is based on the promotion of culture in all its forms and the enhancement of local heritage and social connection.
With around 1,500 spectators per evening, the Festival de Nonette has become, over its sixteen editions, an unmissable summer event in the south of Puy-de-Dôme. Its authentic atmosphere, local roots, and quality programming make it a unique event in the Auvergne cultural landscape.
The Festival de Nonette returns for its 17th edition on August 28th and 29th, 2026. The program promises to be rich and varied with artists from the French and festive scene.
