Exploring the frontiers of human knowledge and experience
The Festival des Anomalies is a public cultural and scientific event that explores the frontiers of knowledge, perception, and human experience. Organized by the AnHomalies association and the Interpsy laboratory of the University of Lorraine, it offers conferences, practical workshops, exhibitions, and shows around so-called "atypical" phenomena: exceptional experiences, consciousness, creativity, intuition, the paranormal, and human and cognitive sciences. Free and open to all, it is held at the MJC Lillebonne in Nancy.
The Festival des Anomalies is a singular event in the Nancy cultural landscape, on the border between science, curiosity, and the exploration of the unknown. Led by the AnHomalies association in partnership with the Interpsy laboratory of the University of Lorraine and with the support of the Orion program, this event invites the general public to question phenomena that escape the usual frameworks of knowledge: exceptional experiences, altered states of consciousness, creativity, intuition, parapsychology, and cognitive sciences.
Each edition of the festival offers a dense and varied program, designed for all audiences. The conferences, led by renowned researchers, authors, and specialists, address topics as fascinating as non-human intelligences, consciousness, near-death experiences, or unexplained phenomena, always with a rigorous approach open to dialogue.
Beyond the conferences, the festival offers Cafés des Anomalies (informal exchanges between the public and speakers), Ludomalies (fun discovery workshops), a themed escape game (the Chanomalies), artistic exhibitions, life-size role-playing games with an original scenario, as well as the public recording of the podcast Le très sérieux Collège de Patapsychologie. A concert by the Atelier Choral punctuates the event with a musical touch.
The Festival des Anomalies stands out for its strong connection to university research. The Interpsy laboratory, affiliated with the University of Lorraine, is one of the few French laboratories to scientifically study so-called "anomalous" experiences. The festival thus forms a unique bridge between the academic world and the general public, making it possible to popularize often little-known research work while stimulating curiosity and critical thinking.
True to its mission of knowledge sharing, the Festival des Anomalies is entirely free and open to all. It takes place in the welcoming spaces of the MJC Lillebonne, in the heart of Nancy's historic center, in a warm and friendly atmosphere where researchers, enthusiasts, the curious, and families mingle.
