Festival des Enfants — Ô mon ChâtôôÔ: The Big Family Celebration in Villemandeur

Every year in May, the Domaine de Lisledon in Villemandeur opens its doors to host the Festival des Enfants — Ô mon ChâtôôÔ, an entirely free event dedicated to children and families. Organized by the Mairie de Villemandeur, this festive and friendly gathering has become a must-attend event in the cultural and associative life of the commune, in the heart of the Loiret region.

An Exceptional Setting: The Domaine de Lisledon

The festival unfolds in the magnificent wooded park of the Château de Lisledon, located on Rue de la Surandière in Villemandeur. This tree-lined estate offers an ideal green setting to welcome families: shaded paths for artistic parades, clearings for open-air shows, and forest trails for fun activities. The enchanting setting of the castle gives the event a unique atmosphere, blending heritage and contemporary festivities.

A Rich and Varied Program for All Ages

The Festival des Enfants offers two full days of activities designed to bring all generations together:

• Shows for Young Audiences: Professional companies present shows suitable for children, combining street theater, circus, puppetry, and artistic performances. Among the shows that marked past editions: “Cocho cochon,” “Chevâl,” and open-air screenings like “Shrek.”
• Inflatable Structures: Timed “ninja warrior” courses, a giant 18-meter water slide (weather permitting), and bouncy castles for the little ones.
• Creative and Sports Workshops: Face painting, temporary tattoos, balloon sculpting, graffiti initiation, children's painting workshops, and sports introductions led by local associations (boxing, football, handball, archery, country dancing).
• Fun Forest Trail: A walk through the estate's woods, punctuated by riddles and puzzles to solve as a family.
• Giant Games: A wide selection of large-format board games provided by the association Diabolobus.
• Street Arts: Live mural paintings, urban dance performances, interactive installations, and artistic parades through the park.

A Festival That Has Become a Must-Attend Event

Launched in May 2022 under the name Festival des Enfants, the event found its identity in its second edition in 2023 with the name Ô mon ChâtôôÔ, a nod to the Château de Lisledon that hosts it. Since then, the festival has continued to grow, enriching its program with each edition. The third edition in 2024 confirmed the success of the formula, and the fourth edition in 2025 expanded the program with street art creations, participatory graffiti workshops, and round tables on urban art.

Free Admission and Friendliness

Admission to the festival is completely free, in line with the municipality's desire to make this event accessible to all families, without condition. Refreshments and food are available on-site, provided by local associations (fries, merguez sausages, ice cream, drinks), allowing visitors to spend a full day in the heart of the estate in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
