The first inter-Micro-Folies geek festival
The Giga Folie Festival is the first inter-Micro-Folies geek festival, born in 2025 on the initiative of Micro-Folie Portes de Meuse, in collaboration with the Micro-Folies of Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy and Habitat Jeunes Grand Est. This free event, open to all, offers a fun immersion into the world of video games and board games, with tournaments, conferences, a retro gaming area, and a digital museum. Held at the Ancerville inter-municipal gymnasium, the festival combines entertainment and prevention on screen addiction.
The Giga Folie Festival is a unique event in the Meuse department. Born from the initiative of the Micro-Folie Portes de Meuse, this inter-Micro-Folies geek festival brings together video game, board game, and digital culture enthusiasts in a friendly and family atmosphere.
The festival spans two days at the Ancerville inter-municipal gymnasium, transformed for the occasion into a true gaming temple. Visitors can enjoy numerous activities:
Beyond entertainment, the Giga Folie Festival carries an important educational dimension. Prevention workshops on video game addiction and prejudices related to gaming culture are offered, allowing these topics to be addressed in a fun and constructive way. The event is entirely free, reflecting the Micro-Folies' mission to democratize access to culture for all.
The Giga Folie Festival is the result of an unprecedented collaboration between several Micro-Folies in the Grand Est region. This partnership allows for the pooling of resources, skills, and networks to offer a regional-scale event. The organizers plan to develop the concept with a repair café, conferences on the history of video games and role-playing games, as well as a diversification of exhibitor stands and proposed activities.
Catering and a refreshment bar are available on-site throughout the event.
The second edition of the Giga Folie Festival is expected in summer 2026 at the Ancerville inter-municipal gymnasium. Organizers plan to enrich the program with a repair café, conferences on the history of video games and role-playing games, and a diversification of stands and activities.
