The festive and family-friendly festival of the Sarthe countryside
Created in 2021 by the association Événements Jeunes Lavernat, the Laver'Night Festival is an outdoor music event in the Sarthe countryside, in the heart of the village of Lavernat. Every first Saturday of September, the communal playground transforms into a festive stage hosting reggae, rock, brass band, cumbia, and electro music. With free camping, local food trucks, a friendly bar, and an eclectic program at an accessible price, Laver'Night embodies the spirit of a village festival run by passionate young volunteers, with the ambition of attracting over 3,000 spectators.
In 2021, a handful of young volunteers from Lavernat, a small town in the Loir valley in Sarthe, decided to create an outdoor music festival to liven up their rural area. The association Événements Jeunes Lavernat was founded and organized the first edition of the Laver'Night Festival on the communal playground, in the heart of the village. The success was immediate: the festival quickly attracted a family and festive audience from all over Sarthe.
Laver'Night's hallmark is its musical eclecticism. The program mixes reggae, rock, strolling brass band, cumbia, celtic folk, electro, and festive music. Over the years, the festival has hosted artists such as Broussaï (international reggae), Les 3 Fromages (French humorous rock), Vanupié, Sidi Wacho (cumbia and oriental hip-hop), Sans Prétention (percussive festive music), Les Ramoneurs de Menhirs, Ton Zinc, and DJ Brice François, ranked among the top 50 DJs in France.
The strolling brass bands, like Gangstar Fanfare, add an extra festive dimension with their floats that parade around the site throughout the evening.
Laver'Night is distinguished by its warm and relaxed village atmosphere. The festival opens its doors at 6 PM, music starts at 7 PM and continues until 3 AM. Free camping (tents only) is available for festival-goers. Food trucks offer local products and the bar serves regional drinks. Children under 12 enter for free.
