The evening also featured La Charcuterie Musicale, the blind-test that has become the festival's trademark.
A festival rooted in its territory

Kestu Bouine ?: the popular festival that cultivates conviviality
Since 2016, the Kestu Bouine ? festival has enlivened the towns of Marçon and Chahaignes in southern Sarthe every spring. Created by the association Mnambule, founded in 2010 and based in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir, this unique event defines itself as a popular agri-cultural festival, a concept that perfectly reflects its philosophy: to weave links between the agricultural world, culture, and the inhabitants of the region.
A rich and eclectic program
Each edition of Kestu Bouine ? offers a dense and varied program:
- Concerts: several bands playing contemporary music, world music, French chanson, and festive music perform outdoors
- Producers' market: local producers and artisans showcase their skills and products from the Sarthe region
- Association village: local associations set up information and awareness stands
- Activities for young audiences: workshops, games, and shows for children and families
A commitment to the territory
Kestu Bouine ? is not just a festival: it is an act of faith in the vitality of rural areas. The association Mnambule advocates for accessible, popular culture rooted in its territory. Despite setbacks – the 2024 edition, disrupted by rain, resulted in a significant deficit – the team of volunteers continues to carry this project with passion and determination.
Sud-Sarthe, a land of character
Between the valleys of the Loir and the Braye, the towns of Marçon and Chahaignes offer a green and preserved setting, typical of the Sarthe countryside. The region is renowned for its Jasnières and Coteaux du Loir wines, its rolling landscapes, and its authentic rural heritage. It is in this bucolic setting that Kestu Bouine ? takes on its full meaning, celebrating the riches of a region too often overlooked.
