Visual and performing arts festival in Mimizan Plage
The MIMIZ'Arts Festival takes place every spring in Mimizan Plage in the Landes region. This free event features exhibitions by local and regional artists in the Salle Maurice Martin and the Chapelle à la Mer, complemented by concerts, creative workshops for children, and street entertainment. For about ten days around May 1st, MIMIZ'Arts transforms the seafront into an accessible artistic trail.
The MIMIZ'Arts Festival is a highlight of the artistic life in Mimizan Plage, offering every spring an immersion in visual arts and performing arts by the Atlantic Ocean. Since its first edition, the festival has continued to grow, reaching its 8th edition in 2025, and has established itself as a must-attend event for artists and art lovers in the region.
The festival takes over two remarkable spaces on the Mimizan Plage seafront:
Beyond the exhibitions, MIMIZ'Arts offers a program of events that mark the ten days of the festival:
The festival spans about ten days around May 1st, taking advantage of public holidays to attract a wide audience. Exhibitions are open continuously, with extended hours on weekends and public holidays (10 am-7 pm) and weekday afternoons (2 pm-7 pm). Special events (concerts, workshops, entertainment) punctuate the calendar to create highlights throughout the event.
True to its mission of democratizing art, MIMIZ'Arts is a completely free festival. Access to exhibitions, children's workshops, and entertainment is free, allowing everyone to discover local artistic creation in an enchanting seaside setting.

Free concerts are scheduled in the evenings during the festival, particularly at the Notre-Dame des Dunes church (Mimizan beach church), offering a remarkable acoustic setting. Musical entertainment with local brass bands also roams the streets between the two exhibition venues on weekends.
