Contemporary music under the stars of the Nice hinterland
Le Broc Festival is a contemporary music festival held annually in June at the Théâtre de Verdure du Broc, in the Nice hinterland. Created in 2019, the festival offers open-air concert evenings under the stars, in a preserved natural setting on the hillside. The programming mixes French chanson, world music, pop, and variety, welcoming both established artists and emerging talents. Friendly and family-oriented, Le Broc Festival has become an unmissable summer event in the Var valley.
Le Broc Festival was born in 2019 at the Théâtre de Verdure du Broc, an open-air amphitheater nestled on the hillside in the Nice hinterland. This exceptional natural setting, located at the crossroads of the Var valley and the Provençal hills, offers a unique atmosphere where music resonates under a starry sky. In just a few editions, the festival has established itself as a major summer event in the region.
The Théâtre de Verdure du Broc, located at 275 route de Nice, is an open-air performance venue with natural topography, offering remarkable acoustics and a panoramic view of the valley. Its human-scale capacity allows for a rare proximity to the artists, creating a connection between the stage and the audience that is the festival's charm.
Le Broc Festival focuses on an eclectic and accessible program that spans musical genres: French chanson, world music, pop, variety, and contemporary music. Over the years, the festival has hosted renowned artists such as Amadou et Mariam, CharlÉlie Couture, Michel Fugain, Alain Chamfort, as well as emerging artists like Carlos G. Lopes, Stéphane Brunello, Elise Allasia, and Arleen.
After offering two evenings during its first editions, Le Broc Festival expanded its format in 2025 with four exceptional evenings, from June 26th to 29th. This expansion reflects the growing ambition of the event and the loyalty of an ever-increasing audience. The 2025 program included a cabaret show with "Mado fait son cabaret", a concert by Michel Fugain, and an evening with Alain Chamfort.
Le Broc Festival cultivates the spirit of a village festival. Local catering, a refreshment stand with regional products, and a relaxed atmosphere make each edition a moment of sharing and conviviality. The village of Le Broc, perched at an altitude of 450 meters and only 25 minutes from Nice, offers a complete change of scenery for festival-goers seeking authenticity.
