About Grimaud Urban Art Festival

Every year, Grimaud Art Urbain transforms the village of Grimaud in the Var region into an open-air street art gallery. At the initiative of the local council, artists take over the medieval streets, Port Grimaud, and Le Kilal—a former 1970s Art Deco hotel once abandoned and now reclaimed by the town—to paint and exhibit their work.

Visitors can watch the artists at work during a week-long creative residency leading up to the opening, and continue to enjoy the pieces throughout the summer. Le Kilal, with its three floors, remains open for several months after the launch, housing the majority of the works on display outside the initial creation period.
