Grimaud Urban Art Festival
A street art trail through the village of Grimaud, Var
2026
About Grimaud Urban Art Festival
Every year, Grimaud Art Urbain transforms the village of Grimaud in the Var region into an open-air street art gallery. At the initiative of the local council, artists take over the medieval streets, Port Grimaud, and Le Kilal—a former 1970s Art Deco hotel once abandoned and now reclaimed by the town—to paint and exhibit their work.
Visitors can watch the artists at work during a week-long creative residency leading up to the opening, and continue to enjoy the pieces throughout the summer. Le Kilal, with its three floors, remains open for several months after the launch, housing the majority of the works on display outside the initial creation period.
Grimaud Urban Art Festival — edition 2026
The sixth edition brings together around fifteen artists, ranging from Speedy Graphito to emerging talents like Alice Jousset and Amok, for a week of live creation throughout the village and Port Grimaud. The opening reception on May 23rd kicks off an exhibition that will remain on display at Kilal all summer long.
