Festival Nature Environnement: Sarthe commits to the planet

Every January, the Val'Rhonne cultural space in Moncé-en-Belin hosts the Festival Nature Environnement, a unique event in Sarthe entirely dedicated to the protection of nature and sustainable development. Supported by the association Grain de Sable et Pomme de Pin (GSPP), this citizen and family-friendly festival has been growing since its creation in 2015.

A rich and varied program

Over three days, the Festival Nature Environnement offers a dense program accessible to all audiences:

• Films and documentaries: screenings of nature and environment films followed by debates with the directors
• Conferences and round tables: talks by experts, scientists, and field actors on major environmental issues
• Slide shows: photographic presentations on fauna, flora, and ecosystems
• Associative forum: numerous environmental associations hold information and awareness stands
• Exhibitions: nature photography, committed artistic works, and educational panels

A strong citizen commitment

The GSPP association, which organizes the festival, aims to protect natural spaces, defend the quality of life of residents, and promote sustainable development in the region. The festival is the most visible expression of this commitment, bringing together each year a growing network of volunteers, partner associations, and aware citizens.

Moncé-en-Belin: on the edge of the forest

Moncé-en-Belin, a commune in the Orée de Bercé-Belinois community of communes, benefits from a remarkable natural environment on the edge of the Bercé state forest, one of the most beautiful oak forests in Europe. This exceptional setting gives the festival a very special resonance: here, nature is not an abstract concept, it is part of the daily lives of the inhabitants.
