The Festival of Wines and Gastronomy: forty years of conviviality

Since its creation in 1987, the Festival of Wines and Gastronomy of Laigné-en-Belin has continuously grown to become the benchmark wine and gastronomic fair in Sarthe. Supported by the volunteers of the Club des Loisirs de Laigné-en-Belin, this popular event brings together more than 13,000 visitors over three days each year, in a warm and gourmet atmosphere.

A showcase of French vineyards and terroirs

The festival brings together around a hundred carefully selected exhibitors:

• 65 winemakers representing all French wine regions: Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhône Valley, Loire, Alsace, Languedoc, Provence, Southwest, and many other appellations
• 35 farmer producers offering cheeses, cured meats, foie gras, honeys, jams, oils, spices, and regional specialties

Tastings are free and without obligation to purchase, allowing visitors to freely discover exceptional vintages and products. Direct sales from producer to consumer guarantee attractive prices and privileged contact with the artisans of taste.

Two restaurants on-site

Two temporary restaurants operate throughout the festival, offering meals prepared with exhibitors' products for a friendly gastronomic break at the heart of the event.

An associative and popular event

The Festival of Wines and Gastronomy is entirely organized by the volunteers of the Club des Loisirs de Laigné-en-Belin, an association that has enlivened local life for several decades. This volunteer organization guarantees the authenticity and conviviality of the event, far from purely commercial logic. The festival's proceeds contribute to financing the leisure activities offered year-round to the commune's residents.

A spacious and accessible venue

The Jean Claverie sports complex offers a large-capacity exhibition space, perfectly suited for hosting thousands of visitors. Located just ten minutes from the city center of Le Mans, the site is easily accessible by car with free parking.
