ℹ️ Festival discontinued. The Festival Photo Déclics d'Émotions no longer appears to be taking place. Its last publicly documented edition (8th edition) took place on October 5th and 6th, 2019. The following page traces the history of this former photography event in Moselle.
The Festival Photo Déclics d'Émotions was born from the passion of two photographers, Florence Dabenoc and Gilles Barthelet, who wished to create a place for meeting and sharing around photographic art in Moselle. With the support of the MJC (Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture) d'Amanvillers, the festival established itself over the editions as an anticipated event for the regional photographic community, up until its 8th edition in October 2019.
Each edition of the festival showcased about a dozen invited photographers, including a guest of honor, who presented their series and artistic worlds. Carefully curated exhibitions occupied the entire Salle des Fêtes d'Amanvillers, offering visitors a rich and varied visual journey. The themes covered all photographic genres: portrait, landscape, nature, reportage, macro-photography, street photography, and artistic photography.
The festival offered practical workshops open to all levels, from beginners to experienced photographers. Introduction to shooting, composition techniques, post-processing, and digital retouching were on the program. Equipment demonstrations allowed visitors to test innovations in cameras and lenses, with advice from professionals.
A photography contest open to everyone, aged 8 and up, was one of the highlights of the festival. Participants could submit their best shots and try to win prizes, including a camera. The jury, composed of professional photographers, evaluated the works based on criteria of creativity, technique, and emotion.
Admission to the festival was entirely free, in a spirit of sharing and democratizing photography. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, conducive to exchanges between enthusiasts. Meetings with exhibiting photographers were organized throughout the weekend.
