Every October, the Muséum-Aquarium de Nancy opens its doors for free to celebrate the Fête de la Science. Museum staff, guest speakers, and students or PhD candidates from the Université de Lorraine host workshops that tie into the current exhibition. All activities are open to the public, require no booking, and are suitable for families with children aged 6 and up.

On the weekend of October 10th and 11th, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the Muséum-Aquarium de Nancy is dedicating its Science Festival to the exhibition "Moches ! 2" (Ugly! 2), exploring strange-looking species and the evolutionary adaptations behind their appearance. Museum educators specializing in animal domestication and students from the Université de Lorraine will lead various workshops, complemented by theatrical performances from the ZigZag company.
