A Labeled Heritage Festival

The Festival Trésors de l'Île is an unprecedented event celebrating the heritage riches of the island of Oléron. Labeled "Year of the Sea 2025: the sea in common" by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, this festival is part of a sustainable development and territorial valorization approach. For five days, from June 24 to 28, the entire island becomes the stage for fifty-five events, most of which are free.

Discover Maritime and Agricultural Heritage

The festival offers a rich program to discover Oléron's know-how: maritime, terrestrial, heritage, literary, and musical knowledge. Visitors can attend maritime demonstrations, listen to sardine sellers' and sailors' songs, participate in musical processions like that of the "Mâles de Mer" in the streets of Saint-Pierre, or discover the repertoire of the choir "Tous ensemble" at the port of Saint-Trojan. The festival celebrates both built heritage and living traditions of the island.

A Sustainable Development Approach

The festival's objective is to encourage a better understanding of the territory as well as the sea and its contemporary issues. Through conferences, exhibitions, and activities, the festival invites visitors to discover Oléron and Poitou-Charentes authors who tell stories of the sea and the region, while raising public awareness about environmental issues. This approach makes the festival a cultural, educational, and civic event, celebrating heritage in a spirit of transmission and preservation for future generations.
