Thirteen years of jazz in Grand-Village-Plage

Un Piano dans la Pinède is the official jazz festival of the municipality of Grand-Village-Plage on the island of Oleron. Created thirteen years ago, this summer event has become a must-attend for jazz lovers in Charente-Maritime. The festival takes place in the bucolic setting of the Maison Éco-Paysanne gardens, offering an intimate and friendly atmosphere.

An eclectic program

The festival illustrates a bridge between different musical styles and between past and present. The 2025 edition hosted Pink Turtle, a group of jazzmen offering swing versions of pop standards by The Beatles, Queen, AC/DC, Bee Gees, and Eagles, as well as Champian Fulton, a renowned New York pianist and singer making her first French tour. This diversity allows it to appeal to both jazz purists and neophytes curious to discover the genre.

Training and transmission

In partnership with the Hot Club and the Swing Up association, the festival integrates an educational dimension with the organization of masterclasses. The trainees offer two free concerts, including "Jazz au musée" in collaboration with the Maison Éco-Paysanne. This approach helps to pass on the passion for jazz to new generations while enriching the festival's program with emerging talents.
