Thirteen years of jazz in Le Grand-Village-Plage

Un Piano dans la Pinède is the official jazz festival of the town of Le Grand-Village-Plage on the island of Oléron. Created thirteen years ago, this summer event has established itself as a must-attend gathering for jazz lovers in Charente-Maritime. The festival takes place in the bucolic setting of the Maison Éco-Paysanne gardens, offering an intimate and friendly atmosphere.

An eclectic program

The festival serves as a bridge between different musical styles and between the past and the present. The 2025 edition featured Pink Turtle, a group of jazz musicians performing swing versions of pop standards by the Beatles, Queen, AC/DC, the Bee Gees, and the Eagles, as well as Champian Fulton, a renowned New York pianist and singer on her first French tour. This diversity appeals to both jazz purists and newcomers curious to discover the genre.

Education and transmission

In previous editions, in partnership with the Hot Club and the Swing Up association, the festival incorporated an educational dimension by organizing masterclasses, followed by free concerts given by the students. This approach has helped pass on a passion for jazz to new generations while enriching the program with emerging talent.

For the 2026 edition, the program released by the organizers consists of four evenings of concerts, from August 17th to 20th at 9:30 PM. "Jazz au musée" takes the form of free access to the Maison Éco-Paysanne museum for concert ticket holders.
