A gathering for alternative music in Vendée
Created in 1999 by the independent association Minimac, the Beer Festival was a convivial festival combining craft beer tasting and alternative music concerts — rock, punk, ska, hardcore. It took place outdoors at the La Bernerie site, in Saint-Hilaire-de-Voust, in southeastern Vendée.
The event claimed a 100% independent spirit and accessible prices (around €5 per evening), with on-site catering and refreshment stand and the possibility of nearby camping. Over the editions, the stage hosted groups such as Les Caméléons, Kiemsa, Jabul Gorba, Rotor Jambreks, Les Voleurs de Swing, and Les Cadavres.
