The music festival in the capital of cherries and modern art
Every June 21st, Céret, the capital of cherries and modern art, opens its streets and squares to music. The Fête de la Musique de Céret is a must-see event in the cultural life of this town in the Vallespir, in the Pyrénées-Orientales.
Numerous stages are set up in the historic center of Céret, particularly along the boulevard Maréchal Joffre and in the town's emblematic squares. Local and regional bands perform in all musical styles: rock, jazz, Catalan music, French chanson, world music, and many others. The friendly and festive atmosphere attracts families and music lovers from all over the department.
Céret, known for its Museum of Modern Art and its rich cultural heritage, welcomes the Fête de la Musique with particular enthusiasm. The town, which experiences numerous festivals throughout the year—from sardanes to bandas to jazz—offers an ideal setting for this national celebration of live music.
The Fête de la Musique 2026 will take over the streets and squares of Céret on June 20th and 21st. The town center will host numerous free open-air concerts, in a festive and friendly atmosphere.
By car: Céret is accessible via the D115 from Perpignan (approximately 30 minutes). Free parking available on the outskirts of the town center.
