Every June, Enghien-les-Bains, the only spa town in Île-de-France, offers its residents and visitors an exceptional musical event under the name « Lac en Scène ». The exceptional natural and architectural setting of the spa resort — the 46-hectare lake, the tree-lined promenades, the Belle Époque buildings — provides an ideal backdrop for this major free Fête de la Musique event.

Europe's largest floating stage

The highlight of the event is the floating stage installed in the heart of Lake Enghien — one of Europe's largest floating stages. From this unique setup, nationally and internationally renowned artists have performed over the editions: ABBA, Yannick Noah, Christophe Maé, The Dire Straits Experience... Each edition attracts an average of 20,000 spectators from neighboring towns and throughout the Paris region, and the 2025 edition gathered up to 28,000 people by the lake.

A grand free concert followed by a pyromelodic fireworks display

The evening revolves around a free open-air concert on the lake's floating stage, usually scheduled for early evening, and concludes with a pyromelodic fireworks display synchronized to music, launched over the water. The reflection of the lights and colorful explosions on the lake creates a magical atmosphere that makes the event famous.

Enghien, city of culture and contemporary art

Beyond its image as a chic spa town, Enghien-les-Bains has established itself as a capital of contemporary art and digital arts. The city is home to the Centre des Arts d'Enghien-les-Bains (CDA), an art center dedicated to digital writing and the intersections between music, image, and technology. The festival « Les Bains Numériques » also extends this artistic identity every June.

« Lac en Scène » has become one of the unmissable events of the summer season in Île-de-France. The event attracts not only residents of Enghien and the agglomeration, but also many visitors from Paris and the entire region via Transilien line H (Enghien-les-Bains station, 15 minutes from Paris Nord).
