Every June 21, Bouguenais celebrates the Fête de la Musique: amateur musicians, local groups, and invited ensembles perform for free in the city, from the town center to the Couëts district. Organized by the City of Bouguenais with its associative and commercial partners, the evening is entirely free and open to all.
The Fête de la Musique in Bouguenais
As everywhere in France since 1982, the Fête de la Musique transforms the commune of Bouguenais, south of Nantes, into an open-air stage every June 21. Music freely takes over public spaces in the evening, in all genres and for all audiences, until the heart of the night.
A festival spread throughout the city
Usually, several stages and activities are spread throughout the commune: a stage in the heart of the Couëts district, Place de la Chapelle, hosts eclectic groups with on-site food stalls, while the City organizes a festive evening with a bar, food, and entertainment. Concerts by local groups, open stages for amateur practices, and dancing atmospheres follow one another throughout the evening.
