Free concerts and musical evening on June 21st in the city of the National Veterinary School
Maisons-Alfort is a commune in the Val-de-Marne with a unique identity, marked by the presence of the National Veterinary School of Alfort (ENVA), one of the oldest and most prestigious veterinary schools in the world, founded in 1766. Its Fragonard Museum, which houses extraordinary anatomical specimens, is one of the most unusual museums in France. This university and scientific city is nonetheless a lively and festive place, as evidenced by its annual Fête de la Musique.
The Fête de la Musique in Maisons-Alfort offers a musical program each year that reflects the cultural and artistic diversity of the city:
The Fête de la Musique coincides with the summer solstice, the shortest night of the year. In Maisons-Alfort, this coincidence is fully exploited to offer a program that extends from the afternoon until late at night. The summer heat, the lively terraces of cafes and restaurants, and families gathering outdoors create an atmosphere of collective joy that is the very essence of this event.
The city of Maisons-Alfort sometimes integrates its remarkable scientific heritage into the Fête de la Musique program. Concerts in the gardens of ENVA, musical activities around the theme of bioacoustics and animal music, or artistic performances in the veterinary school's heritage spaces have sometimes been organized, offering unique musical and scientific experiences.
The Fête de la Musique 2026 in Maisons-Alfort will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2026 on the forecourt of the City Hall (118 avenue du Général de Gaulle). Free open-air concerts organized by the City and the Municipal Cultural Office (OMC), with a program that will highlight local artists — amateur and professional — across all musical styles. Detailed program coming soon on the official website of the city.
The City of Maisons-Alfort is organizing its Fête de la Musique 2026 on Sunday, June 21, 2026, on the forecourt of the City Hall (118 avenue du Général de Gaulle). As every year, the event honors local artists — amateur and professional — to allow the Maisons-Alfort public to discover new talents.
The call for applications was open until April 15, 2026 via the Municipal Cultural Office (OMC). All musical styles and repertoires — original or covers — are welcome: pop-rock, funk, jazz, indie, French song, electro, brass band, choirs, conservatory ensembles…
Concerts follow one another from the afternoon until late in the evening on the stage set up in front of the town hall. Sweet and savory food stalls, run by local merchants and the Maisons-Alfort Red Cross, are set up on site. Free admission for all.
The complete hour-by-hour program (artists, municipal harmony, choirs, closing DJ set) will be published by the town hall in the weeks preceding the event, as for previous editions. To consult on maisons-alfort.fr/agenda.
