A festival born from sharing

The Fête de Partage d'Avioth is a unique artistic event, rooted in the values of solidarity, meeting, and shared creation. Organized by the Centre de Partage d'Avioth, this festival takes place every summer in the exceptional setting of this Meuse village, famous for its Notre-Dame Basilica, a jewel of Gothic architecture classified as a historic monument.

An artists' residency as a prelude

The festival is preceded by a four-day artists' residency that brings together about fifteen creators from diverse backgrounds. During this residency, artists work together, exchange ideas, and co-create original performances that will be presented to the public during the festival. This collaborative approach is at the heart of the festival's identity: creation arises from the meeting and sharing between artists.

Two days of multidisciplinary performances

The festival weekend offers a rich and varied program. The performances resulting from the residency are presented across multiple disciplines: visual arts, music, literature, theater, and multimedia. On Saturday, the program alternates artistic performances in the morning and afternoon, a philosophical discussion at the end of the day, shared meals, and an improvised jam session with dance in the evening. Sunday continues this dynamic of sharing and creation.

"Less goods, more connections"

The festival's motto summarizes its spirit: it is above all about creating human connection through art and conviviality. Meals are shared (pizzas, salads), breakfast opens the days, and every moment is designed as an opportunity for artists and the public to meet. This philosophy makes the Fête de Partage a warm and authentic event, far from conventional cultural circuits.

Avioth, an exceptional setting

The village of Avioth, nestled in the hills of northern Meuse, offers a picturesque and inspiring setting for this festival. The Gothic basilica, the "Recevresse" (unique in France), and the surrounding rural heritage form a natural backdrop that enriches the artistic experience offered by the Fête de Partage.

Fête de Partage — edition 2026
