Vanves en Fête: the town comes together on June 21st

Vanves (92170) is a small town in Hauts-de-Seine with about 28,000 inhabitants, bordering Paris (15th arrondissement), Issy-les-Moulineaux, and Malakoff. Despite its modest size, it has a vibrant associative and cultural life, symbolized by its famous Lycée Michelet — one of the largest high schools in France — and its many sports and artistic clubs. Vanves en Fête: June 21st, squares in celebration

Vanves en Fête is organized every year on June 21st, the day of the Fête de la Musique and the summer solstice. This coincidence gives the festival a special musical dimension: free concerts take place throughout the day in the town's squares and streets, while activities for all ages occupy the public spaces.

The 4th edition in 2025 took place from Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 2 PM to 11:30 PM, in several locations in the town. The program combined giant inflatable structures, sports initiations, creative workshops, wooden games, fairground games, and shows, with a concert stage at Place de la République.

Fête de la Musique in Vanves

Vanves en Fête coincides with the Fête de la Musique, and the two events blend to offer a particularly rich musical program. Amateur musicians and invited bands take turns on several stages in the town, covering all styles: rock, jazz, reggae, world music, pop, variety. Concerts are also organized in the days surrounding June 21st in other locations in the commune.

National Day in Vanves

July 14th is also celebrated in Vanves with a popular festival at the Place de la République, with refreshments, musical entertainment, and conviviality. The town takes advantage of the national festivities' night lighting to offer its residents an evening of outdoor sharing.
