National Celebration in Viry-Châtillon

The town of Viry-Châtillon, a commune in Essonne located on the banks of the Seine about twenty kilometers south of Paris, celebrates the National Celebration each year with a popular and festive evening. The festivities take place on the evening of July 13th at the parvis of the Halle des Sports Jacques-Bédei, a vast sports and event space in the heart of the town.

A rich program starting at 7 PM

From 7 PM, the parvis of the Halle des Sports transforms into a festival village with children's entertainment and food trucks offering a wide selection of fast food and cold drinks. Young and old can enjoy the outdoor space and settle in comfortably while waiting for the evening concert.

The Glam' Orchestra concert

At 7:30 PM, the Glam' Orchestra takes the stage for a live concert that electrifies the parvis. This flamboyant and festive orchestra offers an eclectic repertoire mixing glam rock, variety hits, and popular tunes from all decades. The band's energy is contagious and immediately gets the audience moving, creating an authentic popular festival atmosphere.

Fireworks at 11 PM

At precisely 11 PM, the traditional fireworks light up the sky of Viry-Châtillon. Launched from the Halle des Sports site, the pyrotechnic show is visible from many points in the town. Colorful bursts explode to the rhythm of a carefully selected soundtrack, offering a moment of shared wonder for the entire community.
