National Day in Viry-Châtillon

The town of Viry-Châtillon, an Essonne commune nestled along the banks of the Seine about twenty kilometers south of Paris, celebrates the National Day every year with a popular and festive evening. The festivities take place on the evening of July 13th on the plaza of the Halle des Sports Jacques-Bédei, a large sports and events venue in the heart of the town.

A packed program starting at 7:00 PM

From 7:00 PM, the Halle des Sports plaza turns into a party village with children's entertainment and food trucks offering a wide selection of snacks and cold drinks. Visitors of all ages can enjoy the outdoor space and settle in comfortably while waiting for the evening concert.

The Accord'âges concert

At 7:30 PM, the band Accord'âges takes the stage for a live concert that brings the plaza to life. This flamboyant and festive ensemble performs an eclectic repertoire blending rock, variety, and popular hits from every decade. The band's infectious energy gets the crowd moving, creating an authentic, festive atmosphere.

Fireworks at 11:00 PM

At 11:00 PM sharp, the traditional fireworks display lights up the sky over Viry-Châtillon. Launched from the Halle des Sports site, the pyrotechnic show is visible from many spots around the town. Colorful bursts explode to the rhythm of a carefully curated soundtrack, offering a moment of wonder shared by the entire community.
