A revived gourmet tradition
The Hayange Pig Festival was brought back to life in 2014. Today, it stands as one of the major public gatherings in the Fensch Valley, Moselle, taking place every first Sunday of September in the heart of Hayange.
Pork takes center stage
As the name suggests, pork is the star of the show. Food stalls serve pork in every imaginable form: spit-roasted pig, grilled meats, charcuterie, and sandwiches. Other dishes and grilled options are also available, and a refreshment bar remains open throughout the day.
A musical lineup
Every year, nationally renowned artists perform on the main stage set up in the square. In 2023, the headliner was Dave; in 2024, Patrick Sébastien performed for the festival's tenth anniversary. The 2025 edition featured Plastic Bertrand, Partenaire Particulier, Gilou, Boris, the Cosmic Clic orchestra, and Mathis N. The Philharmonie La Lorraine and local artists like Lilian Nawrot also perform. Music starts as early as 10:30 am.
Entertainment for the whole family
Beyond the food and concerts, the festival offers plenty of family-friendly activities: a fairground with rides for children, live wood carving demonstrations, craft displays, and stalls featuring local products.
A record turnout in 2025
The 2025 edition drew over 14,000 visitors, a record attendance celebrated by the local municipality. It attracts crowds from across the Fensch Valley and northern Moselle.
Place de la Résistance et de la Déportation
The festival takes over the Place de la Résistance et de la Déportation in the center of Hayange, right in front of the Town Hall. The square hosts the food stalls, the concert stage, and the fairground attractions. Hayange is a former steel-producing town in the Fensch Valley.
