Bastille Day in Puteaux, by the Seine

Every summer, the town of Puteaux, located at the edge of La Défense, celebrates the Fête Nationale on the esplanade of the Hôtel de Ville and along the banks of the Seine. This free, family-oriented event combines a traditional republican ceremony with entertainment, performances, and a grand fireworks display, all set against the backdrop of Europe's leading business district.

The 2026 Program (Monday, July 13th)

According to the schedule released by the town, the evening of July 13, 2026, will unfold as follows:

• 7:00 PM: Doors open to the public on the Hôtel de Ville esplanade, featuring music and a picnic area.
• 7:30 PM: Official ceremony — speeches, the Marseillaise, a water fountain show set to Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and a toast.
• 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM: Guinguette-style atmosphere with live musicians and games.
• 9:45 PM: Blue, white, and red water show and distribution of tricolor flags.
• 10:00 PM: Torchlight parade departs, heading toward the quai Dion-Bouton.
• 11:00 PM: Fireworks display launched from the banks of the Seine, best viewed from the quai Dion-Bouton.
