Herblay, between vineyards and the banks of the Seine

Herblay (95220), officially renamed Herblay-sur-Seine since 2019, is a commune in the Val-d'Oise with approximately 29,000 inhabitants, bordering Conflans-Sainte-Honorine, Cormeilles-en-Parisis, Franconville, and Cergy. The town extends over the hillsides and along the Seine, with a part of its territory on the riverbank offering direct access to the water.

Herblay is recognized for its vines cultivated on the south-facing hillsides, producing a fruity white wine that is vinified each autumn during festive grape harvests. This communal vineyard, maintained by volunteers, is one of the town's hallmarks and a local pride.
