The Lattes Votive Festival, now known as « Lattes en Fête », is an unmissable event in the festive life of Lattes and the Montpellier metropolitan area. Since its creation in 1978, this event celebrates Camargue traditions every late August in a friendly and popular atmosphere.
Camargue traditions on the program
True to the region's bullfighting heritage, the festival offers a rich program of events each year: encierros (bull runs in the streets), abrivados and bandidos (parades of herds on horseback), free Camargue races in the arenas, toro piscine, ferrades (calf branding), and the traditional straw bull for children. Local 'manades' (herdsmen) actively participate in these festivities rooted in Languedoc culture.
Concerts, dances and entertainment
Beyond the bullfighting traditions, Lattes en Fête offers concerts, DJ sets, a grand ball with an orchestra, an exhibition of vintage cars and tractors, a costumed parade through the village, as well as free entertainment for children (inflatable structures, workshops, games). A food village set up in Place du Bal welcomes visitors every evening.
An event rooted in its territory
Located at the gates of Montpellier, between the Mediterranean and the garrigues, the commune of Lattes offers an ideal setting for this popular festival. The event is organized by the Festivities Department of the City of Lattes in collaboration with local associations, notably Los Verdaderos, and the region's 'manades'. It fully contributes to the cultural and tourist dynamism of Hérault and the Occitanie region.

The 2026 edition of Lattes en Fête (Lattes Votive Festival) will take place at the end of August 2026 in Lattes, Hérault. As every year since 1978, the festival will offer traditional bull-related activities (encierros, abrivados, Camargue races, toro piscine), concerts, a grand ball, and entertainment for the whole family.
Lattes en Fête — 2026 Edition
The Lattes Votive Festival, known as « Lattes en Fête », will return for a new edition at the end of August 2026. The exact dates will be communicated by the Lattes town hall during 2026.
Expected Program
Based on previous editions, the program will revolve around Camargue traditions: encierros (bull releases), abrivados and bandidos with local manades, free Camargue races, toro piscine, ferrades, and straw bull for children. Evenings will feature concerts, DJ sets, and a grand ball with an orchestra. An exhibition of old cars and tractors and a costumed parade will complete the festivities.
Note: the displayed dates (June 25-26) are provisional and incorrect. The Lattes votive festival traditionally takes place at the end of August. The official dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been communicated by the town hall.

Location
Lattes (34970), Hérault — at the gates of Montpellier. The festivities take place in the city center of Lattes, around Place du Bal and Espace Lattara.
Usual Dates
Late August, over five days (Wednesday to Sunday). Exact dates are communicated annually by the Lattes town hall.
Access
Lattes is accessible by road from Montpellier (approximately 5 minutes) via the D986. Tramway line T3 (Lattes Centre stop). Parking available near the site.
Prices
Free entry for street events, encierros, and Camargue races. Toro piscine is paid (approximately €5). Concerts and dances are free.
