Lattes Votive Festival — Lattes en Fête

The Lattes Votive Festival, now known as « Lattes en Fête », is an unmissable event in the festive life of Lattes and the Montpellier metropolitan area. Since its creation in 1978, this event celebrates Camargue traditions every late August in a friendly and popular atmosphere.

True to the region's bullfighting heritage, the festival offers a rich program of events each year: encierros (bull runs in the streets), abrivados and bandidos (parades of herds on horseback), free Camargue races in the arenas, toro piscine, ferrades (calf branding), and the traditional straw bull for children. Local 'manades' (herdsmen) actively participate in these festivities rooted in Languedoc culture.

Concerts, dances and entertainment

Beyond the bullfighting traditions, Lattes en Fête offers concerts, DJ sets, a grand ball with an orchestra, an exhibition of vintage cars and tractors, a costumed parade through the village, as well as free entertainment for children (inflatable structures, workshops, games). A food village set up in Place du Bal welcomes visitors every evening.

An event rooted in its territory

Located at the gates of Montpellier, between the Mediterranean and the garrigues, the commune of Lattes offers an ideal setting for this popular festival. The event is organized by the Festivities Department of the City of Lattes in collaboration with local associations, notably Los Verdaderos, and the region's 'manades'. It fully contributes to the cultural and tourist dynamism of Hérault and the Occitanie region.
