Landes Races and Encierros
The Nogaro arenas host spectacular Landes races with the best bullfighters and jumpers in the region. Traditional encierros liven up the village streets in an electric atmosphere.
Bandas and Evenings
The banda evenings bring together hundreds of musicians and revelers. Parades, concerts, bodegas, and fireworks follow one another for memorable nights.
A Program for Everyone
Flea markets, producers' markets, shows for children, rugby matches, pétanque, and fishing competitions complete the festival program.
Fêtes de Nogaro — edition 2026
The Nogaro 2026 Festivals take place on the weekend of August 15th, the day of the patron saint festival of this Gascon town in the Gers. For several days, the town center and the Nogaro arenas vibrate to the rhythm of bandas, Landes races, bodegas, and dances, in the pure 'festayre' tradition of Landes and Gascogne.
Nogaro 2026 Festivals — the weekend of August 15th
Every summer around August 15th, Nogaro (32110), in the Gers, celebrates its patron saint festivals. The 2026 edition enlivens the town on the weekend of August 15th, with a festive and bullfighting program rooted in Landes and Gascon culture.
Throughout the days, the public will find the traditional highlights of these festivals: handing over of the town keys and aperitif, a floral and humorous parade animated by bandas, a flea market and regional products fair, encierros (release of heifers in the streets) for children and adults, Landes races in the arenas, bodegas with lively evenings and tapas, dances, a funfair, festive meals, and the traditional fireworks display. A free 'festayres' campsite welcomes visitors who come to enjoy the atmosphere.
The Nogaro arenas notably host the Landes races, an emblematic discipline of the Southwest where 'écarteurs' (dodgers) and 'sauteurs' (jumpers) confront Landes cows in a spectacle as codified as it is spectacular.
